These "windmills" make our last leg of the trip North magical. The kids count on it and the adults love it just as much as they do. This quote sums it up doesn't it?
"They're quite majestic to watch," Burke said. "They're more mesmerizing than they are anything else. When they're all turning, you know that everything is OK with the world." Retiring Dairy Farmer from NNY-retiring from the revenue of the Turbines on his land.

The last day...
We had a nail salon on the back deck this morning. The girls were excited to do their own nails this morning...GORGEOUS
Jack...we were all tired today. So much fun!
What you didn't see...good meals, laughs, a fabulous boat ride with Molly yelling HIT IT and bouncing up and down at the bow, Me waterskiing, Deb trying 8 times and successfully getting up on Slalom ski for the first time in 5 years and being so HAPPY, Ella swimming in the lake and laughing like a loon, Her first tube ride behind the aluminum boat-much like the one at the cottage, and all the laughs and friendship. The biggest thing missing was Steve. We sure did miss Daddy this weekend. That big bit of love was missing thoughout the whole weekend. Hope we get to go up again...sometime very soon!

Camden...
The Girls took a trip to Camden in the afternoon for lunch and a walk around. We had an AWESOME lunch at Cappy's Chowder House. If you are ever in Camden...you MUST go!
Natalie and Ella
Deb and her Mommy Juice
Doing 2 little black birds...we had a moving experience at the restaurant. While I was doing 2 little black birds for the girls...this woman at the bar behind us started yelling-ney screeching-oh my god, where did you hear that? MY GRANDFATHER USED TO Do THAT FOR ME!!!!!-she was so overwhelmed. She had never heard it anywhere but from him before. She was so moved. We all were. We figured the grandpas were up there smiling at us.
The kids' meals came in fun cars...they were a little excited...
MY chowd-ah-so YUM!

Our walk to Grammy Louise's
Away with the Randalls...
This weekend we got the wonderful opportunity to join our friends' at their camp in Liberty, Maine. We headed out on Friday with a stop at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park for a late lunch. We were spectators to Osprey who were feeding the young in their nest, took dips in the ocean, and enjoyed the late afternoon sun before heading north.
I was 11 years old. Summer was in full swing. We had enjoyed having cousin Becky up for the summer. It was a special summer. Any day- I was going to have a new brother or sister. In my 11 year old brain I wanted nothing more than to be around for the birth of this new sibling. But with the way things are when a baby is born-it just wasn't possible. Waiting in Fayetteville, my dad finally called with the news that I had a new baby sister. Allyson Desiree...I couldn't have been happier.
Now 24 years later...I am far away from her in miles, but I know that when we get the chance to be together again...we will laugh at stupid things, watch chessy t.v shows/movies, make fun of Steve together, and overall just fall back into our sisterly routine.
Happy Birthday Allyson! I miss You!

Extreme Bed Jumping!
Steve and I were going to sleep on the deck the other night so we got the inflatable mattress out. Rain made it a little too damp for our comfort so in we went. Little did we know the fun that would ensue the next evening when we brought it inside to deflate it.
These are probably some of my most favorite pictures of the girls yet. Molly was fearless, jump after jump. Ella was giggling and giggling.
