I am going to a wedding in NYC in three weeks. What the heck do I wear???????
Why aren't you both closer so you could go shopping with me????????
It is a swanky night time wedding and nyc...my least favorite place in the world. I feel my insecurity growing as I inch closer along 95S.
Any suggestions?

oh! i am so sorry. i have been there-feeling the same feelings-not so long ago. first off, find soemthing you feel comfortable and confident in. it you don't feel comforatble in it it will show! i say go with something classic and black or brown and throw is some great accessories that say a little bit more about your personality. what will the guys be wearing? and where will you shop?
-I was thinking that I would go to Macy's or someplace like that...The guys are wearing suits...not tuxedos. I was thinking dressy pants instead of a dress??? Any other place you think I should look?
I can see you wearing pants- you always do that! If you can be comfy wear a dress- you always look great dressed up. I am a freak and like to wear dresses though so it is up to you. When I have to go to a wedding or something I go to Ann Taylor Loft...I have a supply of dresses that I got half off on the sales at the regular Ann Taylor- they have classy stuff and if there is a sale its not that bad (expense wise). Or you could wear a simple skirt with a dressy top. Call me and we'll talk :) Wish you were closer!!!!!!!

I agree with the rest of the group. I always wear red when I'm feeling insecure- it's my favorite color. I'm sure if you shop with an open mind you will do just fine. I agree with Allyson- Ann Taylor is a good choice for party chic.
