Maiden sledding voyage
Steve and Ella tried out the new sleds. Big hit. Molly screams "pick me up" when you put her in the snow. We will need to do a little desensitizing looks like.
Yeah! It snowed!

Allyson's here, Allyson's here
We picked up Ally at the airport last night in Portland. We have had a great visit with her so far. Including watching Ella at Gym camp, a walk on the beach, Gilmore Girls, a walk, LOBSTAH, and finishing with some vegging on the couch with our computers in our robes...HAHA. We are not letting her leave. Sorry California, Sorry Mike, She is staying here.

Ella and Natalie
I just sent Ella and her friend Natalie outside to play on the swingset. I can hear their littles voices but not clear enough to hear what they are saying. The two of them are running around and appear very busy with whatever they are doing. My heart is skipping a beat as I think about her developing friendship. It feels different. I like Natalie and I like her and Ella together. I look forward to watching them grow up together.
Ella told me that the other day on the way to dance class together she and Natalie touched tongues and it felt gross. Everyone needs a friend in life that they can touch tongues with. I am happy that Ella has found hers.

Watched a show on PBS...All about The Electric Company
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!
Moving out in a new way
Moving out in a new way
We're gonna turn it on (turn it on)
We're gonna bring you the power (you can do it)
We're gonna light the dark of night like the brightest day in a whole new way
We're Gonna Turn it On (do do do)
We're Gonna Bring you the Power (do do do do)
We're gonna tell you the truest words that you heard anybody say
Moving out in a new way
Moving out in a new way
We're gonna turn it on
We're gonna bring you the power
It's coming down the lines, strong as they can be through the courtesy of the Electric Company
Spiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies
Look Out!
Here comes the Spiderman.
Is he strong?
Listen bud,
He's got radioactive blood.
Can he swing from a thread
Take a look overhead
Hey, there
There goes the Spiderman.
In the chill of night
At the scene of a crime
Like a streak of light
He arrives just in time.
Spiderman, Spiderman
Friendly neighborhood Spiderman
Wealth and fame
He's ingnored
Action is his reward.
To him, life is a great big bang up
Whenever there's a hang up
You'll find the Spider man.

Christmas Cookies
Pre-school Gossip
Ella is forever talking about a little boy at her school. Even so much as to tell me that they told each other that they love each other. I had fears in my brain that she was driving this little boy crazy. This morning I called Ella into school sick because she had thrown up last night. Miss Sue jumped at the chance to tell me that she has wanted to talk to me. She told me that this little boy had come to school the other morning wearing dress pants, dress shirt, and a tie. Sue commented to his nanny that he looked very handsome. The nanny replied that he wanted to look nice for ELLA! Too funny and cute.

IT'S SNOWING
And I am strangely very happy about it. I just went across the street to the store and felt very giddy about walking in the snow. It is our first snow of the season. Now I am back in my office, sipping some coffee with half and half I bought at the store, listening to Steve's podcast, gazing at the falling snow on the playing fields and the dumpster out side my window while I run off verification sheets for report cards. I could do this all day.

The Nason Women
Fun morning spent going for a walk and decorating my whiskey barrels. We are in full Christmas swing around here. Now we just need some snow. Ella spent the whole weekend begging to make Christmas Crafts. So we went today to get some supplies and she made ONE decoration and then it was SO LONG Christmas Crafts. Molly has mastered the art of hopping and it is quite a trip to watch her.
All is normal up here in Maine. A little off balanced as half of the New England Nason clan is in INDIA for Sri's brother's wedding, but with the magic of technology we have had a chance to get updates. Almost feels like we are there???!??!! Wish we could be there. Someday...

Dinner tonight
One of our favorite ways to use up Turkey Leftovers...Turkey Quesadillas with Cranberry Salsa.
I am giving the recipe for Cranberry Salsa because you should all (4 of you who read this) try it.
1 cup of cranberry sauce
1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tablespoon green onions
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 Anjou Pear, cored and finely diced
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced-We skip this at this stage of the game because the kids won't eat spicy food.
The quesadillas are turkey, green onions, jack cheese...Serve with salsa and fat free sour cream.
Our salsa is chilling in the fridge. Watching the Pats, drinking a #9 and looking forward to a yummy dinner. Perfect end to Thanksgiving Break.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Things I have realized after a very long day...
1. The Good-I am realizing that Lori is not only my sister-in-law but also my friend. The Lamberts are becoming good friends. I got to see Ella walk down the street with her friend, Levi and put her hand around his back just cause she cares for him. Sweet little kid moment. My father-in-law and brother-in-law are very good to me when my husband is not around.
2. The Bad-When it has been over a year maybe two since you have seen people it is okay to pass on the most recent event that involves them because they won't find it important that you are there even though you travelled with two kids for an hour in your car to see them. Molly is a wreck after two hours in the car, a 20 minute nap and let loose in a pizza place and then Christmas Tree Lighting. She has no off switch just more amped. The three of us do not do well on a day of crappy food.
3. The Ugly-Carrying both Ella and Molly under an arm screaming from the Bethel Church Choral Group singing at the Gazebo...I have nothing else to say.
Except this...they sure are cute.
